Hex

Looking at a Valentines Day card from his maternal grandparents:

Jack: "Papi, what does this say, because I cannot read curse writing"

Perception

Joseph and Katie Yearling* attend our church. They have three kids, one of them named Jeff. Today they sat on the pew in front of us. They were not there, but Joseph's parents were watching their kids. Jack looks at Joseph's father, who looks a lot like his son, then looks at Mickelle and says, "Mom, is Jeff's dad getting really old?"

Meet Jack

Jack is our five-year-old son. He is energetic, intelligent, verbose, and highly creative in his thinking. He also asks questions at the rate of about 10-a-minute when he really gets going. There are many little boys like him, but this one is ours. Lately we've been thinking that we should keep track of the stuff jacks says so we don't forget them. Well, here's the first one.

Me: "Anybody want a salami slice?"

Jack: "Papi, did you know that in Japan they have salamis that come in and cover houses and kill a lot of people?"
